| Hi to anyone reading. I imagine you're here because you saw a thumbnail that caught your eye, and it lead you to this little space in the corner of the internet that I control (sorta anyway). Well, hopefully I can make your short stay memorable. I suppose you're either reading this now because you'd like to know a little bit more about the man behind all those off white and black pics found throughout my gallery, or you're really bored and just have nothing better to do. Either way it's probably only fair after all that reading you just did to give you a bit of a glimpse into what brought you over to this corner of the page in the first place: I'm a married, 25 year old, Canadian born and raised Business Student and Sales Representative for a fairly well known company. I'm an avid gamer, huge movie fan, and appreciator of most forms of music. To best sum up my personality - I'm that guy who's sorta relaxed all the time, with a goofy smile on his face and blank stare in his eyes. Art is just my hobby (among too many countless others). I've been doodling on anything white (or off shades of) since probably the age of 8 or 9 years old because I enjoy trying capture a personalized glimpse of the world around me, or at least its counterparts found in my head. I can't say I've ever really aspired to greatness with my art though; it's always just been for fun. For as long as I can remember I've loved to watch things, and study little details of the objects and people I've encountered in life; the way a shadow dances across a person's face and body as they move, or the incredibly contoured and unique way a piece of fabric can rest based on how it was last handled. There's so much out there to witness if we just open our eye's a little bit more and see past the daily hassles of life. I suppose for me drawing is just one way that I can capture those little things in my head just a little bit better, and just maybe, if I get something right, be able to share those memories with anyone who cares to see them. My tools of the trade are a plain old sketch book, a handful of mechanical pencils, Sakura Micron Pens (best pens -ever-), the occasional Steadler Fineliner (colored fine tipped pens), and my memories and imagination. I do sometimes like to pretend that I know what I'm doing when it comes to digitally coloring anything I've drawn, but at present it's something I lack practice in. I'd like to get better, and hopefully with my recent purchase of a Wacom Intuos 3 I'll be able to find a good soft ware package and learn to use it a little better. I think that about sums it up. There's mountains more I could ramble on about, but none of it is really that interesting, and I've already taken up so much of you time just making you read through the above biography; so with that, I thank you for reading, wish you a wonderful day (or evening/afternoon/night), and hope you come back sometime to visit my little corner of the internets! **(Also, as my personal quote won't fit in my Devious Info, I'll post it down here)** "We all seem to desire what we believe is best for ourselves at some point in time; but if you ever really stop to think about it, you might just find that what's best for everyone (read 'the World' ), in the long run, is really what's best for you. - We all live here." |
